Speeds and ranges are manufacturer-stated maximums and do not happen at the same time. Real results depend on rider weight, terrain, temperature, tire pressure and riding style.

Power & speed

Both bikes list 40 mph as their top speed. You only reach it in the highest mode, under good conditions.

  • D02 Classic: Up to 3,000W peak from a 48V mid-drive brushless motor. The D02 Classic uses the same 3,000W motor platform as the CEMOTO D03 Pro. It costs less because it drops the horn and some street-oriented hardware.
  • IN 10: 2,600W peak / 1,200W rated, with a published torque figure of 146 N·m. CEMOTO does not publish a torque figure for the D02 Classic, so we can't compare torque directly.

The riding modes are a key difference for families. The D02 Classic's three modes run at about 12, 25 and 40 mph. The IN 10's run at 18, 24 and 40 mph. If your rider is still learning throttle control, the D02's slower first mode leaves more room between "learning" and "fast."

Battery & range

The IN 10 is better here on paper. Its 48V 23.4Ah pack holds roughly 11% more energy than the D02 Classic's 48V 21Ah pack (about 1,123 Wh vs 1,008 Wh). YOZMA claims up to 53 miles, or 35–53 miles depending on conditions.

CEMOTO states up to ~30 miles for the D02 Classic and publishes the test conditions: a 70 kg (154 lb) rider at 25 °C riding at a steady 20 km/h (12 mph). YOZMA does not publish the test conditions behind its 53-mile figure, so the two range numbers aren't directly comparable. With the same rider, terrain and speed, though, the bigger battery should go further. Charging takes about 6 hours on the D02 and 5–6 hours on the IN 10.

Fit & rider size

The two bikes are very close in size. Each has 14/12-inch wheels and weighs about 121 lb. That's why claims that one is much "easier to ride" don't hold up well against the published specs.

  • D02 Classic: Seat height about 28.74 in. CEMOTO lists riders of about 4'11"–5'10" (150–178 cm).
  • IN 10: Seat height 28 in. YOZMA lists riders of 3.94–5.9 ft (about 120–180 cm) and a minimum age of 14.

The IN 10's lower seat and wider listed height range are a real advantage for shorter riders. For riders inside the D02's 4'11"–5'10" range, the 0.7-inch seat difference is small. Inseam, balance and experience matter more. Our teen electric dirt bike buying guide explains how to check fit at home.

Rated load is the other fit factor. The D02 Classic is rated for 287 lb and the IN 10 for 265 lb. That matters for heavier teens, and for adults who plan to ride the bike too.

Brakes & suspension

Both bikes have hydraulic brakes and full suspension. The D02 Classic uses hydraulic disc brakes front and rear, a hydraulic front fork and a rear shock. YOZMA lists "heavy-duty hydraulic brakes," a hydraulic front fork and a nitrogen rear shock for the IN 10.

Neither brand publishes suspension travel or brake rotor sizes, so neither bike has a clear edge on paper. The IN 10 has slightly more ground clearance (9 in vs 8.66 in) and a published IPX6 water-resistance rating. CEMOTO doesn't publish a water rating for the D02 Classic. The D02 comes with knobby off-road tires, a full-color display and dual LED headlights.

Price & what's included

FAQ

Yes. As of October 7, 2026, the D02 Classic is $919 and the IN 10's sale price is $1,099, a $180 difference.

Which is faster, the D02 Classic or the IN 10?

Both list a top speed of up to 40 mph. The D02 Classic has more peak motor power (3,000W vs 2,600W). The IN 10 publishes a torque figure (146 N·m); CEMOTO does not publish one for the D02.

Which has more range?

The IN 10 has the bigger battery (48V 23.4Ah vs 48V 21Ah) and a higher claim (up to 53 mi vs about 30 mi). CEMOTO publishes its test conditions and YOZMA does not, so the claims aren't directly comparable.

Which is better for a beginner teen?

For riders about 4'11"–5'10", the D02 Classic is a strong choice. Its first mode is about 12 mph, it costs $180 less and it's rated for 287 lb. Riders shorter than about 4'11" may fit the IN 10 better, since YOZMA lists heights from about 3.94 ft.

Are the D02 Classic and IN 10 the same bike?

No. CEMOTO and YOZMA are independent brands run by separate companies. Like most electric dirt bikes, some components come from suppliers that are common across the industry. CEMOTO is factory-owned and its manufacturer was established in 2008.

Are these bikes street legal?

No. Both are sold for off-road use only, on private land and tracks. Riders should wear a helmet and protective gear, and teen riders should be supervised by an adult.

Ready to ride? If your rider is about 4'11"–5'10" and wants 40 mph trail performance, hydraulic disc brakes and full suspension at a lower price, the D02 Classic is the better value.
